Finished Evergreen State

Here it is! A year + in the making, and fresh off the binding stitches.

I quilted this one with "e's and o's" on my domestic sewing machine.

A couple close ups of the quilting. As I'm doing it, I see the mistakes: stitches a little too big, e's a little too pointy. All together, it looks fine, and she's finished.

White peonies are damp with last night's rain. Pink ones are too heavy from the showers and need to be picked to enjoy inside.

The back has a framed Washington State toile and lots of Kona off white.

My favorite part is the block with the spools of thread and the two Martha Washington mineatures. I changed that from the original design.

Design: block of the month at Pacific Fabrics by Anna-Beth Meyer-Graham. Panel designed by Chandler O'Leary.

Sewn and quilted by me.

Size after quilting: 66" X 75.

I'm linking this happy finish with Finish It Up Friday at Crazy Mom Quilts. My Friday habit is to enjoy all the finishes. . . Have a look.

  2. Congratulations on your beautiful finish ! Your machine quilting looks really good too, I've never attempted to quilt anything that large on my machine.
