Evergreen State

I finished my last block of the block of the month at my local quilt shop! It celebrates the features of Washington State.

I had never done a mariner's compass before, and using paper piecing, it went together nicely. The blocks of this quilt have required many new-to-me methods. Our April task will be to put the whole thing together. I can't wait.

The evergreen tree uses "French braid" as do the hearts in the coffee block.
